Customer Review: A quick and easy introduction
If you are looking for a chess book that that isn’t too involved and you want short and simple this is it! I recommend it for any kid who just wants to learn the very basics (otherwise consider “Chess for Juniors” for older kids or more material on strategy).
I also like “You Can Play Chess” for kids in Kindergarten or First Grade who want lots of pictures and the rules.
Weapons and Tactics is basic, but what kids like.
Customer Review: Great Book for Children!
This book was cleverly written and illustrated; children and adults can both benefit from the lessons presented. Basic chess rules are covered, as well as a fair amount of strategy. I strongly recommend it, especially as a gift.
