Customer Review: Great program but user-friendliness could be improved on
I really like the way this program drastically improved my tactical vision by just solving about 100 “Grades By Difficulty” puzzles a day for a period of a few weeks (!). My rating on ICC went up about 100 points and, equally important, my confidence grows accordingly. Wonder what this will do to my future otb-rating (ELO).

Superb book. I like books one can grow into and this is certainly one. I wish to point out that this title and the previous title, ‘Secrets of Chess Training’ are actually in print as Volume one and two of the four volume set School of Chess Excellance series.
Customer Review: Deeply profound and useful
IM Dvoretsky was known as the Soviet Union’s top trainer, and this very personal and honest work presents much of his rigorous thinking on chess tactics. This book does not believe in simple divisions and guidelines; there is much to read about subjects like creating confusion to make it difficult for an opponent to press an advantage, the blurred line between theatrics and soundness, etc.

303 Tricky Chess Tactics Customer Review: Good material, unforgivable errors!
This is a good book for training tactics. The posistions are clear and instructive, and organised by themes so each theme is trained separately. This also means the tacticts are easier to spot and the book will be better suited for beginners/intermediate rather than experts.

However, the one thing you would expect from such a book is give you correct anwers. Unfortunately, a few errors have slipped through in the answers section, where it sometimes fail to give you the best continuation for either one or both sides (and mine is even a “second edition”). It’s unforgivable when I have to enter the positions into my computer to get the right answers and the optimal continuation. You’d buy this kind of book so you’d be able to train chess WITHOUT your computer, I would think! At least one star of the rating because of that.
