Customer Review: Very easy game for kids
I was really excited to see the Lego theme for a chess game. I knew my kids would love it while continuing to learn how to play. When I first got it I immediately installed it and let my 5 year old play. He LOVED it. He played many games. It is very easy to start. Settings are easy to change. Graphics are good. Animation is good and fun. The only small downside is that I would like to be able to rotate the 3d board just a little more so you get more of a top down view. You can rotate the board left and right and tilt it. Very good game. Especially for the price.
Customer Review: Great game but get the patch
This game is great if you know how to get it loaded. My son and daughter who are 6 and 10 love it. It’s entertaining and teaches chess. I’m writing this to save someone else a headache when loadingI have windows xp and when I first tried to load it it wouldn’t work. I needed to restart the computer. Then you need to download two patches available from the software company selectsoft that makes this. You may also need to open the game from the configuration menu rather than from start. Also at the configuration menu you can change the resolution to speed up your mouse. From the start meunu you can click on properties for lego chess and choose different compatabilities for different window programs like 2000 or ‘98. You may need these if it doesn’t run properly. Lego.com/interactive also gives trouble shooting tips. All is worth the effort because it’s a super fun game for kids!

Customer Review: Shipping cost is outrageous
I was about to order this when I saw that Amazon was going to charge me $23.60 just for the shipping, effectively doubling the price. Somehow I don’t think this product is that heavy! I am baffled by Amazon’s shipping charges. I can buy a heavy box of diapers and the shipping is free, but if I want to buy some blocks for my toddler or a small chess set, the shipping charge is insane!

This is my first chess set, and I love it. I’m able to toss it in my backpack when I go to place to place, and everyone who has used it has commented on how nice it is.
