Customer Review: tot6al disappointment
This is a poorly working program with no instructions or intuitive flow. It would not allow me to bypass its practice regimes which offered no explanations and so were useless and frustrating. It would not allow me to play chess in any mode without graduating from its pre-requisites.After an hour of frustration my five year old asked if we could just go back to the original “board game”. I threw the program in the garbage.

I would recommend this product for older kids. Not for introducing to younger kids. I find the Dinasour CHess very good for beginners. My 4 year old son really grasped the basic concepts of Chess very well by playing Dinasour chess

Customer Review: a great thing, but don’t leave it in the car!
I love chess, and have been a student of the game since I was 10, collecting numerous chess books, sets, computers, etc. I should be a grandmaster by now, but how many people have the time for that. My father-in-law gave me this Drueke set as a present. Very nice. I do find the proportions of the pieces to be a bit strange, but the magnets are by far the best ones I’ve ever seen in a magnetic set. I left this in the car recently during a hot spell, and the plastic case has melted. The board itself didn’t melt, so from the outside it looks like a Salvador Dali object. I’ll probably replace it, as I feel bad about letting it melt.
Customer Review: Better than other options
I got this set to play chess with my son. Over all I like the it, but there are many little tweaks in design that could have made it great. The board is rather large to store. This isn’t a pocket chess set. Since they are all the same height it’s difficult sometimes to tell a pawn from a bishop. The pieces are close to the same size as the squares and the magnets tend to attract as you move around the board.

Customer Review: A decent chess set
This set is OK. The board, is 14 3/4 inches square. It looks nice when it is open, but doesn’t close completely even when latched (there is about a 1/8 inch gap on one side.) This may just be a problem with the one I got, but it bugs me a little. What bugs me alot is that the elastic that holds the pieces in place on the inside broke after about the 4th time it was used. Now 3 of the pieces are always loose inside when the set is closed.
